Reading needs nothing: no account, no cookie, no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting.

Submitting a link, reacting to an item or sending feedback sets one random token in a cookie on your device; the server stores only its hash, so nothing links a new token to an old one when you clear it. Reactions are one per token per item and are never shown as anyone's score.

Feedback you send from the about page is stored with that hash and with whatever contact you chose to type — nothing is required. It is read by the owner and by the software that runs the site, and it is never published.

An account is an email address, stored encrypted with a separate hash for lookups, plus the streams you subscribed to (double opt-in, one-click unsubscribe in every mail). Push notifications are stored per device and can be removed from your browser at any time. Export and deletion are self-service on your profile — no human is involved either way.
